Primary Care at Home, Inc. (PCAHI), DBA: Mission Wellness Pharmacy, was honored to partner with the San Francisco Latino Task Force (LTF) this month to bring two free community STI, HIV and Hepatitis C testing events directly into the heart of San Francisco’s neighborhoods. These events embodied our shared commitment to equity in health access, culturally responsive care, and community empowerment.

Two Events Rooted in Community, Connection & Care

On December 4th at 701 Alabama St. and December 9th at 4834 Mission St., PCAHI and LTF welcomed community members for free, confidential rapid testing—offering results in just 20 minutes. Both events ran from 10 AM to 3 PM and were designed to remove barriers to testing by providing services directly within trusted community spaces.

A Message of Gratitude

PCAHI Social Work Case Manager Marvin J. Matamoros, who coordinated on-the-ground community engagement, shared this message:

"Dear Community,

Thank you all for showing up and supporting the community. Your commitment and dedication made a real difference, and we hope to continue this work together. I appreciate each one of you who showed up and supported this project. Thank you as well to our community members at the Latino Task Force and Mission Language and Vocational School. We were able to reach over 30 community members, and we look forward to continuing this important work. We remain committed to serving our community with consistency and care."

Community Impact

Through both events, PCAHI and LTF:

  • Connected with over 30 community members

  • Provided rapid HIV & Hepatitis C screenings

  • Increased awareness of PrEP, PEP, and prevention services

  • Created a safe and welcoming space for health conversations

  • Strengthened collaborations between community institutions

A Continued Commitment to Latine/x Health Equity

These events represent just a portion of PCAHI’s ongoing effort to make preventive care accessible to all—particularly for communities disproportionately affected by STI, HIV, and Hepatitis C.

Working alongside the Latino Task Force and Mission Language and Vocational School underscores our belief that community-rooted partnerships are the foundation of meaningful health equity work.

We thank everyone who attended, volunteered, supported, and helped make both events a success. PCAHI looks forward to continuing our collaboration and expanding community-based services throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area.
