On April 15, 2026, Primary Care at Home, Inc. (PCAHI) had the pleasure of joining the vibrant and energetic Huckleberry Block Party in San Francisco. This youth-centered event brought together community organizations, partners, and local residents for an afternoon of connection, resources, and celebration.
Representing PCAHI at the event were Joanna, Jenn, Julissa, Jesse, and Palm, who showed up ready to engage, educate, and support the community.
Meeting People Where They Are
At PCAHI, we believe that healthcare doesn’t just happen in clinics—it happens in the community. Events like the Huckleberry Block Party allow us to meet people where they are, break down barriers, and create meaningful, real-time connections.
Throughout the event, our team tabled and shared information about:
HIV and STI testing services
PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) access and education
How to connect with PCAHI for ongoing care and support
We had the opportunity to engage in conversations that help normalize testing, reduce stigma, and empower individuals to take charge of their health.
Engagement, Education, and a Little Fun
One of the highlights of the day was our interactive prize wheel, which brought energy and excitement to our table. Participants spun for a chance to win fun items like plushies, figurines, hats, and gift cards.
But beyond the prizes, the wheel created an easy and welcoming entry point for conversations about health—turning curiosity into connection.
Growing Our Community
We were also excited to expand our digital reach, gaining over 30 new followers on Instagram during the event. Each new connection represents an opportunity to continue sharing resources, education, and support beyond the event itself.
Building Stronger, Healthier Communities
The Huckleberry Block Party was a reminder of the importance of community-based outreach. By showing up, being visible, and creating safe, engaging spaces, we can continue to build trust and improve access to care—especially for youth and underserved populations.
We’re grateful to the event organizers and partner organizations who made this day possible, and we look forward to continuing this important work across San Francisco and beyond.
At PCAHI, we remain committed to delivering compassionate, accessible, and culturally responsive care—wherever our community needs us.
