On Sunday, August 16, Primary Care at Home, Inc. (PCAHI) was proud to join thousands of community members, organizations, and advocates at Oakland Pride 2026 for a day dedicated to celebrating diversity,

inclusion, and the strength of the LGBTQ+ community.

Oakland Pride is more than a festival—it's a celebration of authenticity, resilience, and the progress made through decades of advocacy. For PCAHI, it was an opportunity to connect directly with community members, share valuable health resources, and reaffirm our commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care for people living with and aging with HIV.

Connecting with Our Community

Throughout the day, the PCAHI team welcomed visitors to our booth, where we shared information about our programs and services, answered questions, and connected attendees with resources that support healthier lives.

Many visitors stopped by to learn more about our work, pick up educational materials, and discover how PCAHI helps individuals access comprehensive healthcare, supportive services, HIV prevention resources, and programs designed to promote healthy aging.

Events like Oakland Pride remind us that meaningful healthcare begins with trust, visibility, and community.

Supporting People Aging with HIV

As advances in HIV treatment continue to help people live longer, healthier lives, the need for comprehensive support services has never been greater. PCAHI remains committed to helping people age with dignity by providing whole-person care that addresses medical, emotional, and social needs.

Participating in Oakland Pride allowed us to raise awareness about these services while engaging in important conversations about health equity, HIV awareness, and the importance of ensuring everyone has access to quality care.

Pride in Action

The day was filled with celebration, meaningful conversations, and new connections. We were honored to stand alongside so many incredible organizations and community members working toward a future where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered.
