PCAHI Connects with Local Youth at the Stronger Minds, Stronger Future Mental Health Summit

On October 2, 2026, Primary Care at Home, Inc. (PCAHI) was proud to participate in the Stronger Minds, Stronger Future Youth Mental Health Summit held at Chabot College in Hayward, California.
The youth-focused summit brought high school students from surrounding communities to the Chabot College campus for a day centered on mental health, wellness, education, and access to community resources.
PCAHI was honored to be part of the event and to introduce young people to important information about sexual health, HIV prevention, PrEP, and the healthcare and supportive services available through our organization.
Supporting the Whole Health of Young People
Mental health and physical health are deeply connected. Supporting young people means giving them access to trusted information and creating spaces where they feel comfortable asking questions about all aspects of their health and well-being.
Throughout the summit, the PCAHI team connected with students, shared educational materials, and provided information about PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and HIV prevention.
Our participation also gave students an opportunity to learn about PCAHI's broader programs and services and to discover resources they can turn to when they have questions about their health.
We were especially proud to bring a strong sexual-health and HIV-prevention presence to a summit focused on empowering young people to make informed decisions about their futures.
Starting Conversations About PrEP and HIV Prevention
Education is one of the most powerful tools in HIV prevention.
For many young people, events like the Stronger Minds, Stronger Future Summit may provide an opportunity to hear about PrEP and other prevention options in an approachable community setting.
PrEP is a medication for people who do not have HIV that can greatly reduce their chance of acquiring HIV when taken as prescribed. PrEP is available in different forms, including daily oral medication and long-acting injectable options.
By introducing students to prevention resources and encouraging open, stigma-free conversations about sexual health, PCAHI hopes to empower young people with knowledge they can carry with them as they make decisions about their health and well-being.

Building Stronger Futures Together
The summit was an important reminder that empowering the next generation requires supporting the whole person—mental, physical, emotional, and social well-being.
PCAHI is proud to participate in community events that create opportunities for education, prevention, and meaningful conversations with young people.
