On Friday, October 17, 2025, Primary Care at Home, Inc. (PCAHI) joined community members at Lake Merritt in Oakland for Autumn Nights, an annual event. The city has graciously donated in the existing gardens for the development of an AIDS Memorial Garden to acknowledge the sacrifices of those past in present who fight ot eradicate HIV/AIDS in Oakland and the wider East Bay area.

Damon Powell, PhD, Project Director at PCAHI, volunteered his time to help raise funds for the memorial garden, demonstrating his ongoing dedication to community engagement and the legacy of compassion that defines our work. His participation reflects PCAHI’s continued support of initiatives that preserve the stories, resilience, and impact of those touched by the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

We are proud to stand alongside our East Bay partners and the dedicated organizers of the AIDS Memorial Garden Project, helping to ensure that this living tribute continues to inspire remembrance, education, and hope for generations to come.

Together, we honor the past, uplift the present, and nurture the future of our community.
